    PGR: whats your favorite?

Out of all the PGR games I like PGR2 the best. I only played 3 for little over a month and it was ok. Although I do like 4 better than 3 but wished 4 had the same Kudos system as 2. I did notice at TTR website that most of them like 3 best, whats yours

    Re: PGR: whats your favorite?

    Definitely PGR 2.

PGR 3 and 4 look nice and pretty, but that's about it.  This will sound wierd, but the graphics are almost too much... the cars look like shiny plastic toys.

PGR 2 may not be the best looking game (it does look pretty good in HD though) but the cars look "better" and have a more realistic feel to them.

It's the substance and gameplay that really make PGR 2 stand out from the rest.  It has some of the best handling physics out there to date.  The online collision detection is almost perfect, none of that tapping your opponent and spinning them out.  In PGR 2 you can actually bump your opponent and they won't go flying off into the wall.  It also has a much better overall Kudos system, not to mention the leaderboard design, layout and implimentation put PGR 3 and 4 to shame.  You also have the Ghost Challenges (weekly, monthly, and all time).  PGR 2 has something for everyone, Kudo whores, time attack junkies, Cat and Mouse, Last Man, Ladder Matches... it has it all.

I agree, I wouldn't mind going back to PGR2 but 2 problems. I don't have PGR2 anymore or the regular xbox either. The last time I put PGR2 in the 360 it still didn't run that great. Maybe I'll pick it back up and give it a spin.

    Re: PGR: whats your favorite?

It doesn't run too bad on the 360, but in some cities it really lags bad.  The 360 online with PGR 2 is where you will see the biggest drop in the frame rate.  I will say I just did a weekly hot lap (in Chicago) using my 360 and it ran perfectly fine.  You can find the game cheap enough, I see used copies at Gamestop for $3.  You can get it new for $10.

It definitely doesn't play like it does on the original Xbox.  They have those too at Gamestop for $60, it comes with a 13 month no questions asked warranty.

It's definitely worth checking out if you've never played, but keep in mind it doesn't run great on the 360.

Once he plays PGR2 he will know its the best of the series. I also think its the most difficult to get Platinums.
